The Ring of fire consists of over 25,000 miles of near continous earthquakes, volcanic activity, and plate movements mostly along the Pacific Plate boundaries.
It contains 452 active volcanos, and 90% of the world's earthquakes. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), about 81% of the world's
largest earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire.
